A: I am currently a candidate for RICS chartership, working towards becoming a Chartered Surveyor through the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC). This means I adhere to RICS professional and ethical standards while completing the qualification process.

Q: What type of services do you offer?

A: I offer Land and Topographical surveys, measured building surveys, setting out, monitoring, as built surveys, boundary surveys.

Q: What equipment do you use?

A: I use Leica and Trimble total stations, GNSS (GPS) and laser scanners.

Q: Can you provide digital survey data?

A: Yes, I can deliver survey data in DWG, PDF, point cloud data and other.

About the Survey Process:

Q: How long does a survey take?

A: The duration of a survey depends on the size of the area and the type of survey required. For example, a measured building survey of a three-bedroom house in Birmingham using a laser scanner typically takes 4–5 hours on-site. The data processing and production of a full set of drawings—including floor plans, elevations, and sections—can take 2–3 days in the office. Larger or more complex projects may require additional time.

Q: What do I need to do before the survey?

A: To ensure a smooth and efficient survey, please:

  • Provide access – Ensure that all areas to be surveyed are accessible, including locked rooms, lofts, or external spaces.

  • Clear obstacles – Remove any large furniture, vehicles, or objects that might obstruct scanning or measurement.

  • Inform occupants – If the property is occupied, let residents or staff know about the survey to avoid disruptions.

  • Share relevant documents – If available, provide existing floor plans, site drawings, or title deeds to help with the process.

  • Arrange permissions – If the survey involves third-party land or shared spaces, obtain necessary permissions in advance.

Q: What areas do you cover?
A: I primarily cover the Midlands, but I am available for nationwide projects if required.

Q: Do you work on weekends or out of hours?
A: My standard working hours are Monday to Friday. However, I can accommodate urgent jobs on weekends or outside regular hours if the project requires it.
